What is Duty to Act?

Duty to act is an inherent part of employment, and should be exercised by all leaders. The principle of duty to act requires that as professionals, leaders expecting compensation from their leadership duties should have a duty to act appropriately and within the scope of their training.

Leaders have a duty to act towards their followers’ needs, demands and requirements. They should give their best to serving their followers because they owe them the duty to take care of their interests.

Leaders are paid to lead their followers, and for that reason, they should act appropriately towards meeting their interests. They should listen to them, appreciate their efforts and allow them to give opinions regarding anything that concerns their welfare.
