Ruto has pledged to create 50,000 jobs in Uasin Gishu County if he clinches power. He also promised low-cost housing and the resolution of land disputes in Langas, Eldoret.
Ruto declares that rebuilding the economy and creating jobs will be his priority. Two MCAs in Uasin Gishu County will be chosen from Luhya and Luo communities.
Today His Excellency the Deputy President William Ruto took his campaigns to the Rift Valley. The team had earlier spread into two groups. One led by UDA flag bearer William Ruto took the campaigns to Uasin Gishu County while his running mate Rigathi Gachagua led another team in a vote-hunt mission in Baringo County. The teams then converged at a mega rally in Rongai Constituency, Nakuru County.
In Uasin Gishu, the Deputy President was expected to hold an economic forum alongside the Kenya Kwanza Economic team led by Moses Kuria and David Ndii. First, Ruto led the Kenya Kwanza Economic team in a road show in various parts of Eldoret town after attending a church service at the PCEA Langas.
In the recent past, Kenya Kwanza has been touring various counties to collect views from citizens through economic forums. He has already held economic forums in Nakuru, Embu, Kakamega, and Murang’a counties.
These forums are used to collect the views of citizens in each county to identify the issues that the Kenya Kwanza government will tackle in case they win in the upcoming August elections. This will lead to an economic charter that will be signed between the Kenya Kwanza Coalition and the counties.
In Eldoret, Ruto promised Uasin Gishu County over 50,000 jobs and 10,000 units of low-cost housing if elected in August. Ruto also said that one of the positions for nominated MPs in Kenya Kwanza will be allocated to Uasin Gishu County.
The Deputy President also promised to nominate two MCAs from the Luhya and Luo communities in Uasin Gishu County.
In his first term in Office, Ruto says he will allocate KES100 billion to create jobs for youth. In his address at the County Economic Forum in Eldoret, Ruto promised that rebuilding the economy and creating jobs will be his priority as President.
Ruto also promised to resolve the issues of Land in Langas, Eldoret.
Accompanying the Deputy President in Eldoret were Moses Kuria, Ndindi Nyoro, Didmus Barasa and Kimani Ngunjiri, Oscar Sudi and Jackson Mandago among others.
Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri said that he supported William Ruto because he is capable of uniting Kenyans. Ndindi Nyoro also spoke in the meeting and warned President Kenyatta not to campaign for Azimio because he would be ruining his legacy.
